‘Enhancing US N-capabilities & posture critical to strategic arms control’

Pranay Vaddi, special assistant to US President Joe Biden, highlighted the US nuclear 'alert' and the pursuit of the B61-13 gravity bomb for enhanced deterrence against military targets. The B61-13 is a thermonuclear gravity bomb designed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. In a meeting on June 7, Vaddi said that B61-13 will enhance deterrence without increasing overall numbers.
