Indian Army's first vertical wind tunnel installed in HP

The Indian Army has inaugurated its first vertical wind tunnel (VWT) at a training school in Himachal Pradesh. The state-of-the-art facility will simulate real-life free fall conditions, allowing military trainees to enhance their skills in combat free fall (CFF). The VWT creates a controlled environment with specific air velocities, enabling trainees to practice different CFF scenarios. The installation of the VWT is part of the Indian Army's efforts to modernize its training infrastructure and improve operational readiness.
